Starting using Phytohts is simple: enter the keyword(s) of interested in the search box and then click the “search” button to go;
Use more specific words or phrases will make your search target more precisely focused. So using “ascorbic acid” instead of “acid” or “endothelial cells” instead of “cells” will find more useful information;
Phytohits does not automatically detect the synonyms of entered keyword, using different words describing the same thing in your search may make the search result more complete. For instance, you may use both the keywords of “tissue factor” and “thromboplastin” to find more literatures related with this coagulation protein. This can be done by using boolean operator “or” between the two keywords, like “tissue factor or thromboplastin”;
You can limit you search scope by making a check mark in the relevant check box under the search box. Phytohits now provides two most used search limits: limit to “keywords in title” and limit to “Clinical trial or clinical case”;
After the search result page appeared, clicking the literature title will bring out the web page where the abstract of this literature is presented. You can also select more than one of check box before the literature title of interested and then click the “submit multiple selection” button on the top or button of the page to get all of the corresponding abstracts at one time.
We are working hard to make the search engine more powerful and your suggestion is very welcome.
